Custom Designs
IMACC actively designs custom systems or modifies existing ones to meet unique customer needs. The IMACC system is modular and therefore lends itself to custom applications using proven components.
Examples of custom systems include:
  •  IR fiber-optic probes for process monitoring,
o A fiber optic probe was developed for detection of lower explosive limits in complex gas mixtures in a process stream. The reported values are used to control air flow and air dilution.

  • Multi-gas analyzers for worker exposure monitoring,
o Monitoring of over 30 paint constituents in aircraft paint-booth operations and generation of health risk levels for the mixtures. Results were used to control air flow keeping exposures within OSHA limits.

  • Passive (stand-off) measurements of hot gases from stacks and flares
o Measurements have been performed of combustion efficiency of industrial flares using an IMACC telescope- based passive FTIR radiometer. This system requires only a clear view of the flare to operate.

  • Cross-stack monitoring of incinerators or industrial process streams
o In many monitoring scenarios the compounds to be detected are hard to handle. Cross stack monitoring provides real-time analysis of these compounds in situ. Monitoring of incinerator exhausts, high temperature process streams, and even combustion processes are possible.
